SPU is required to track and report all power outages on an annual basis. As a member of the American Public Power Association (APPA) we utilize their benchmarking software to compile this data per federal requirements. Our data is compared to other public power utilities in the U.S., specifically by geographical region.
SPU excelled in all six categories. We are proud to state our customers can expect to have electric service 99.999% of the time.
