SPU Customers Can Earn both Electric and Water Rebates With Qualified Purchases
Electric Residential Rebates*
SPU offers a number of rebate opportunities to our residential customers as part of our energy-saving conservation program, including:
ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebates
(Refrigerator $75, Dishwasher $50, Clothes Washer $50)
NOTE: The ENERGY STAR designation is required for a rebate; not the yellow EnergyGuide .
Appliance Recycling
(Refrigerator and Freezers – must be in working condition at the time of recycling – $30)
Central Air Conditioning
(Minimum16.0 SEER or 15.2 SEER2 – $500)
Heat Pumps (Air and Ground Source)
(Minimum 16.0 SEER or 15.2 SEER2 – $500)
Split System Ductless Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps
(Minimum 16.0 SEER or 15.2 SEER2- $500)
LED Lights
(Bulbs and Strings – max $25)
Our online process eliminates paper copy submissions.
- You’ll need to register, which does require an email address.
- After registering please select the “Customer” option and complete your profile.
- To finalize the rebate submission you will need digital copies of your invoice or receipt, ENERGY STAR labels (where applicable), SEER ratings (where applicable) and any additional documentation on the work performed/installation completed, as indicated.

2024 Electric Residential Rebate Submissions
Water Residential Rebates*
SPU water customers are eligible for rebates on the purchase of WaterSense® toilets and irrigation controllers, and ENERGY STAR Clothes and Dish Washer appliances.
This program runs July 1 – June 30th, with no carryover. Purchases made between July 1st and the following June must be submitted by June 30th to qualify for a rebate, per state requirements.
Examples:
- A qualifying purchase made in August must be submitted by June 30th of the following year.
- A qualifying purchase made in March must be submitted by June 30th of the same year.
- A qualifying purchase made on June 15th must be submitted by June 30th of the same month.
The window of time to request a water rebate diminishes the closer the purchase date is to June 30th. The program clock starts over on July 1st.
($125 Clothes Washer; $100 Dish Washer; Up to $50 Toilet and Up to $200 Irrigation Controllers)
Yes, ENERGY STAR Clothes Washers qualify for both an electric and water rebate!
NOTE: You must submit to both programs to earn two rebates.
